Ivy Removal in Leigh

The proposed work starts with a review of the wall material, growth thickness, height and access. Photographs of the whole affected area, the main stems and the access route help us assess the job; complex properties may need a visit.

The removal method and access equipment are agreed before work begins. Controlled cutting and removal in smaller sections avoids the strain of pulling a large, heavy mass from the building at once. Waste collection and any root or stump work are specified in your quotation.

Ivy around roof tiles, flashing, cables or damaged guttering may need additional specialist work. Repairs, painting and any extra cleaning are quoted separately rather than assumed to be included.

Removing ivy does not guarantee an unmarked wall. Fine attachment roots, staining and colour differences may remain, and previously hidden loose pointing or flaky paint may become visible. Existing weak render and masonry should be assessed before work is agreed.

Ivy can return from surviving roots or neighbouring growth. Accessible root work can be discussed as part of the quote, but permanent eradication is not guaranteed. We check for active bird nests before disturbing vegetation and postpone affected work where necessary.

We welcome enquiries from homeowners, landlords and commercial property managers across our listed North West areas, including Salford, Stockport, Knutsford, Wilmslow, Warrington and St Helens.

Send your postcode, wide photographs of the ivy and close-ups of the stems. Tell us about narrow passages, neighbouring boundaries or difficult access so your quote can reflect the actual work required.
